Hysteroscopy and pregnancy

Hysteroscopy and pregnancy

After a hysteroscopy the achievement of a pregnancy can be allowed from the very next cycle.
In general, hysteroscopy increases the chances of a pregnancy after the condition for which it was performed has been treated, that is, the removal of a polyp, fibroid, or septum that was preventing the embryo from implanting.
Even a simple diagnostic hysteroscopy can have beneficial effects in achieving a pregnancy (scratching).

In the case of an attempt with the IVF procedure, it is advisable to have a diagnostic hysteroscopy first, to rule out any pathology that is not visible on the ultrasound.
In addition, with the method of scratching (gently scratching the endometrium), during hysteroscopy, the success rates for a pregnancy can even be doubled according to some studies.
