entendons la position du placenta dans l&#8217;ut\u00e9rus par rapport au f\u0153tus.<\/p>\n<p>La plupart du temps, le placenta est situ\u00e9 au fond de l&#8217;ut\u00e9rus ou sur ses parois lat\u00e9rales, il ne cr\u00e9e donc pas de probl\u00e8me lors de l&#8217;accouchement, puisqu&#8217;il n&#8217;est pas sur le \u00ab chemin \u00bb du f\u0153tus pour sortir.<br \/>\nIl existe cependant des cas o\u00f9 le placenta se situe bas dans l\u2019ut\u00e9rus, c\u2019est \u00e0 dire \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du col au point de le bloquer partiellement ou totalement. On parle alors de placenta praevia et la seule fa\u00e7on d&#8217;accoucher est par <a href=\"\">c\u00e9sarienne<\/a>.<br \/>\nDans les autres cas o\u00f9 le placenta est proche du col mais ne l&#8217;obstrue pas, un accouchement normal peut th\u00e9oriquement \u00eatre tent\u00e9, mais cela est individualis\u00e9 au cas par cas.<br \/>\nLes causes du placenta praevia sont les ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents de c\u00e9sarienne, de curetage ant\u00e9rieur, de grossesse multiple, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Le diagnostic se fait d\u00e9sormais facilement d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de la grossesse gr\u00e2ce au contr\u00f4le \u00e9chographique. En cas de diagnostic de placenta praevia, un suivi plus fr\u00e9quent est recommand\u00e9. Dans de nombreux cas, m\u00eame au troisi\u00e8me trimestre, avec le passage du temps et l&#8217;\u00e9largissement de l&#8217;ut\u00e9rus (d\u00e9veloppement de la partie inf\u00e9rieure), le placenta \u00ab se d\u00e9place \u00bb vers le haut et s&#8217;\u00e9loigne du col, r\u00e9duisant ainsi le risque de saignement.  <\/p>\n<p>Le sympt\u00f4me qui ne passe jamais inaper\u00e7u est le saignement vaginal indolore.
