gyn\u00e9cologiques. Environ 1 femme sur 100 000 re\u00e7oit un diagnostic de cancer du vagin, avec une moyenne d&#8217;\u00e2ge de 60 ans.<\/p>\n<p>La plupart des cas de cancer du vagin, comme le <a href=\"https:\/\/gynequipe.gr\/fr\/femme\/oncologie\/cancer-du-col-de-luterus\/\">cancer du col de l&#8217;ut\u00e9rus<\/a>, sont li\u00e9s \u00e0 une infection par le virus du papillome humain, c&#8217;est-\u00e0-dire un <a href=\"\/gynaika\/gynaikologia\/hpv-emvolio-2\/\">HPV<\/a> \u00e0 haut risque (souches 16 ou 18 ou autres). Par cons\u00e9quent, le cancer du vagin pr\u00e9sente les m\u00eames facteurs de risque que le cancer du col de l\u2019ut\u00e9rus : partenaires sexuels multiples, pubert\u00e9 pr\u00e9coce, tabagisme, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Les femmes ayant des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents de cancer du col de l&#8217;ut\u00e9rus ou de l&#8217;endom\u00e8tre doivent faire l&#8217;objet d&#8217;une surveillance particuli\u00e8re, car une \u00e9ventuelle r\u00e9cidive peut survenir dans la r\u00e9gion vaginale et ne pas \u00eatre un cancer primitif du vagin.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Sympt\u00f4mes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Les saignements vaginaux sont le sympt\u00f4me le plus courant, alors que de nombreuses femmes sont asymptomatiques et que le diagnostic est pos\u00e9 fortuitement apr\u00e8s un examen gyn\u00e9cologique de routine. Aussi, une excroissance au niveau de la zone vaginale ou \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e du vagin peut conduire la femme \u00e0 consulter le gyn\u00e9cologue.<br \/>\nLe diagnostic est pos\u00e9 par la r\u00e9alisation d&#8217;une biopsie dans la zone suspecte et s&#8217;il est confirm\u00e9, alors un examen d&#8217;imagerie compl\u00e9mentaire est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 (imagerie par r\u00e9sonance magn\u00e9tique, scanner, pet scan).<\/p>\n<p>Le traitement, comme toujours, est individualis\u00e9 en fonction de la localisation, du stade, de l&#8217;\u00e2ge et de l&#8217;\u00e9tat g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du patient. Aux stades pr\u00e9coces, l\u2019excision chirurgicale de la l\u00e9sion est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9e, tandis que la radioth\u00e9rapie est privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e aux stades plus avanc\u00e9s avec de bons r\u00e9sultats.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><div class=\"bt_bb_separator bt_bb_border_style_none bt_bb_top_spacing_small bt_bb_bottom_spacing_small\"
